Prestige setting the standard; compliance standards that deliver homes you can trust.
Here at Prestige, we pride ourselves on being able to say we are an approved manufacturer with the NCC, NICEIC and the Gas Safe Register.
What is the NICEIC?

NICEIC is the UK’s leading certification body for the electrical contracting industry whose main aim is to ensure companies provide safe electrical installations.
We are approved contractors under the NICEIC accreditation scheme and have been members of the NICEIC for 40 years. The NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme gives customers confidence in the work of electrical contractors.
We are subject to yearly audits, which we consistently pass. Our homes are fully electrically tested and functionally checked to ensure they meet our very high standard of quality and compliance.
As we are certified by the NICEIC we have access to technical support from experienced staff. NICEIC members are also trained to stay current with industry developments, and our electricians receive CPD training from various sources.
Our homes are fitted with Surge protection and individual circuit Type A RCBOs which protect both Residual current and over current as standard. Prestige has been installing TYPE A RCBOs in our homes for several years, combined with the correct site power this provides selectivity to minimise disruption to the home's power and reduces nuisance to both park and end users.
Why is being Gas Safe important?

The Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Jersey, and Guernsey. By law, all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Prestige is on the Gas Safe Register. Registration is only given based on a business having at least one Gas Safety Qualified Engineer. As a business that installs gas appliances, Prestige employs gas-safe engineers to ensure that our installations are legally compliant. This gives us professional credibility that our customers can trust.
What is BS3632 and who are the NCC?

Unlike normal domestic dwellings, all our Homes are built to comply with or exceed BS3632, as opposed to Building Regulations. The industry is governed by the National Caravan Council (NCC), and as members of this, we are required to undergo several factory audits per year.
Prestige has an excellent record for passing these audits and are considered by them to consistently achieve their highest, 5 Star rating.
The British Standard for Residential Park Homes (BS3632) covers the below areas:
- The Thermal Values of the external walls, floors, and roofs which means they are suitably insulated for all year-round occupation.
- Materials for the external envelope of the home (Walls, Floors, and Roofs) must meet prescribed fire testing levels.
- All habitable rooms are required to have a direct means of escape to the outside.
- Mains Powered and linked fire alarm systems are installed in all habitable rooms.
- Water and Sanitation fittings have standards they must meet.
- Electrical and Gas installations must meet relevant standards, although appliance manufacturer instructions often take precedence over these.
Every Prestige Home is inspected at the end of the Production line to ensure it has met these parameters before it is dispatched to the customer.
So, when you buy a Prestige home you can be sure that you and your home are in safe hands.
